Pro Tip:

Press the seams together really well or they’ll come apart when you roll them up. Also, put the glaze on while the rolls are still warm so it gets all melted and soaks into the cinnamon swirls.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

FAQs about these Easy Cinnamon Rolls:

Can I use different dough? You can, but crescent roll dough works best because it’s already flaky. Other doughs will give you different results.

Can I add more filling? Sure! If you want more cinnamon sugar, go ahead and add extra. Just don’t add so much that it spills out everywhere when you roll them up.

How do I get clean slices? Use a sharp knife and wipe it off between cuts. You can also use dental floss – just slide it under the log, cross the ends over the top, and pull to slice through.

Can I make the glaze thicker? Yes, just use less milk. Start with 1 teaspoon and add more only if needed to get it to drizzle.

What Can I Serve with these Crescent Cinnamon Rolls?

They’re perfect on their own for brunch, but they’re also good with scrambled eggs, bacon, or fruit if you want a full breakfast.

This is a great idea! I never make them from scratch . If anyone has seen the new Pillsbury caramel rolls- in my opinion- skip them. The caramel has cinnamon in it and so does the roll. Plus, the caramel doesn’t really go on thick or creamy. Anyway I see lots of variations on your recipe. Chocolate! Raisins or dates! Maple pecan! Thank you.
